JCPenney OpticalJCPenny Optical offers all ACTIVE Chamber members and their employees savings on eyeglasses and contact lenses as well as comprehensive eye examinations by an associated doctor of optometry. JCPenney Optical center offers all of the newest lens products and treatments. They have hundreds of fashionable designer frames to choose from and as always the convenience of using your credit card. Periodically, JCPenney offers free vision screenings to Chamber members. Anyone wishing to commit to six consecutive ads paid in full will receive a discount. Quarter page - 15%; Half page - 20%; or Full page 25%. Annual DirectoryDelivered in December, the Annual Directory is more than just a listing of chamber members; it contains a planner and a Buyer's Guide. The Buyer's Guide lists all chamber members by the business category and offers the opportunity to advertising, much like the yellow pages of your phone book. Prices vary according to the five sizes available.
Radio PromotionsCumulus Radio/Sharon will provide 1 FREE commercial for every paid commercial that any new Chamber member purchases on one of the following radio stations - News Talk 790 WPIC or The New 96.7 The River. Please call Bob Greenburg, Sales Manager at (724) 346-4113, ext. 109 for more details. Direct MailFor $125, Chamber members can have a flyer included in the Chamber's regular mailings. This benefit depends on the chamber's schedule and upcoming events. In addition, mailing labels are available for purchase: $50 for the main contact membership (over 500) or $75 for all the representatives (over 800). Red Cross Safety Course Training DiscountThe American Red Cross, Mercer County Chapter offers Chamber members a 20% discount on its health and safety courses. Eligible programs are:
IInstruction combines video, lectures, demonstrations, discussions and hands-on training. Participant materials are easy to read and feature visuals to support instruction. Businesses can build the program that's right for them. Add-on modules include Slips, Trips and Falls, Your Heart Matters, Ergonomics, Stress Management, Work Place Violence, and Back Injury Prevention. The cost of the courses varies and the discount does not apply to the instructor fee. Members need to contact the Red Cross office prior to a class to receive the discount, 724-981-3205. Special Projects & EventsThroughout the year, the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce provides its members with many diverse activities. These functions provide a mixture of opportunities for networking and education, as well as entertainment. The Annual Dinner offers Chamber members the opportunity to review the Chamber's accomplishments of the past year and to assess the goals and objectives of the upcoming year. The Chamber Person of the Year and the Henry Evans Volunteer of the Year are presented at this time. One of the Chamber's most popular events are the Business After Hours receptions. Throughout the year, various businesses sponsor Business After Hours which allow Chamber members to network with each other in an informal social setting. The Chamber also offers Business Development Seminars that address current issues facing businesses in the Shenango Valley. Chamber members facilitate these educational seminars. Golf outings are also popular Chamber activities. Chamber members and their guests enjoy a full day of networking and socializing. The Chamber currently sponsors the Mercer County Business & Industry Golf Classic, the Ladies Golf Scramble, and the Mixed Night Glow Scramble.
Time Warner CableTime Warner Cable Media Sales offers a 30% discount, exclusively to Chamber members, on all current, full-spot rate card pricing with your first ad buy (not including special fixed position). Time Warner also offers a one time rebate to first time advertisers to help off-set the cost of initial commercial production. This production rebate is good on any spot schedule of equal or greater value up to $1,000.
